Flooring Sales and Estimating - Full Time  

Work with homeowners and contractors to select and install flooring products. We offer full-time hours and benefits including health insurance as well as a great company atmosphere. We are Niagara’s largest flooring retailer and have been in business for 44 years!

The Flooring Consultant/Estimator will have the following responsibilities:

  • Work with customers who come into a retail stores to show them flooring samples, offer design advice, describe different products, answer questions relative to products and installation.
  • Document customer information and schedule measuring appointments as necessary.
  • Visit job sites to measure rooms for flooring, determine other aspects of the job such as installing subfloor, rip out of existing flooring, assess which transitions are needed, note if furniture and/or appliances need to be moved, etc.
  • Prepare estimates based on a job site visits, and email/communicate estimates to the customer and answer questions as needed.
  • Schedule installation, coordinate installers to perform installation, and document written instructions for installer(s).
  • Follow up on customer concerns post-installation and schedule follow-up visits as necessary.

Position Requirements:

  • Customer Service experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook and the aptitude to learn new programs (RFMS) is essential.
  • Ability to measure and draw up room layouts and perform mathematical calculations
  • Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance
  • High School Diploma
  • Prior Construction/Design Experience is highly preferred

We offer a $ 600.00-week training salary for 90 days and a $600.00 week draw against commission after the training period. Average earnings are $40,000.00 annual on this program but highly motivated individuals earn significantly more. An insured car is provided during business hours to travel to estimates and job sites. Health insurance is offered after the 90 day training period.

 Installers - Talented and Reliable Installers can apply within.

Laborers - Strong and Reliable construction labourers - able to work legally in Canada and licensed to drive can apply within.

Warehouse Associate - Full Time 

-work with staff to fulfill work orders and other duties assigned. We offer full time hours and benefits including health insurance as well as a great company atmosphere. We are Niagara’s largest flooring retailer and have been in business for 44 years!

The Warehouse Associate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
  • Open orders and verify.
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory
  • Prepare parcels for mailing
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
  • Wear the proper safety equipment

 Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 years previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
  • Dependable and Reliable
  • Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
  • Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance
  • High School Diploma
  • Prior Construction/Design Experience is highly preferred

We offer an hourly rate and must be able to work Mon-Sat 730am – 400pm

Installation Expert

 -Read work orders and install various products in a timely manner. Measuring and organization are key.

The Installation expert will have the following responsibilities

  • Install product according to specifications
  • Develop strong working relationships with installers contractors and home owners
  • Respond to customer concerns and provide excellent customer service during and after installation as necessary
  • Coordinates the performance, development and expectations of independent subcontractors (Flooring) and our in house installers and laborers.
  • Perform within timeline and guidelines
  • Demolition of existing flooring materials.
  • Repairs to flooring substrate.
  • Layout of flooring projects.
  • Installation of a wide range of flooring materials including carpeting, tile, wood plank and other specialty products.
  • Advising customers on proper flooring care and maintenance.
  • Carpentry trim work at walls and doors.

 

Scheduling and Installation Manager Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  •  Ability to use hand tools including tape measure and chalk line.
  • Ability to use equipment and tools unique to each type of flooring being installed.
  • Ability to address small carpentry and trim related issues including planning door bottoms.
  • Ability to work on hands and knees to install flooring products.
  • Ability to layout flooring projects before installation starts.
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain team cohesion and subcontractor rapport
